UK Ancestry Visa

You can live freely in the UK for up to four years on this visa provided that you are from a Commonwealth Nation and you have either a parent or grandparent born in the UK, The Channel Islands or The Isle of Man, or if you have a grandparent who was born in what is now the Republic of Ireland before 31 March 1922. Highly Skilled Worker

The highly skilled worker category is designed to allow highly skilled people to come to the United Kingdom to look for work or self- employment opportunities. Who can apply as a highly skilled worker? Unlike sponsored skilled workers (who are covered by tier 2 of the points-based system), you do not need a job offer to apply under the highly skilled worker category. When you apply, you are awarded points based on your qualifications, previous earnings, United Kingdom experience, age, English language skills and available maintenance (money).

Workers Accession Card

If you are from one of the European Union Member, or ‘accession’, states you may need to register with the Home Office under the Worker Registration Scheme within one month of starting a job. The countries affected are: Lithuania, Estonia, Slovenia, Latvia, Slovakia, Hungary, The Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Poland, and Romania.

Working Holiday Maker Scheme

This programme allows people between the ages of 17 and 30 to visit the United Kingdom for a period of up to two years. You can work for up to 12 months during your holiday, but the holiday, not the employment, should be the primary purpose for your stay.

Ancestry Visa

Any overseas teacher who is a Commonwealth citizen and has at least one grandparent who was born in the UK is eligible for an ancestry visa. This visa allows them to work in the UK for five years. 

Work Permit 

A work permit allows you to work for only one employer or school. This means you will not be permitted to work for any other employer while on this visa. As an agency, we will assist you in organising the visa process, assisting you with the forms and liaising with the institution that is giving the sponsorship.

Highly Skilled Worker

The highly skilled worker category is intended to allow highly skilled individuals to come to the United Kingdom in search of work or self-employment. You don’t require a job offer to apply under the highly skilled worker category. This visa is different from the Sponsored Skilled Workers, who are covered by tier 2 of the points-based system.

When you apply, you will be given points based on your qualifications, prior earnings, UK experience, age, English language skills, and ability to maintain yourself (money).

All international teachers must have a valid work visa in order to live and work in the United Kingdom. You can teach in the UK without any limitations if you have a UK passport.

‘Overseas Trained Teachers’ (OTTs) must have a fully recognised teaching qualification and, in some cases, registration from their country of origin in order to work in the UK.
